The Cape Floral Region, the smallest and at the same time most biodiverse plant kingdom in the world with its well-known, colourful fynbos and protea plants, begins right in the garden of Ocean’s Horizon and continues just behind the gate in the nature reserve. The natural paradise is waiting to be discovered along its various hiking trails. At the right time of year, you can watch whales right from Ocean’s Horizon.

Surrounded by special wildlife 

Other wildlife highlights include the turtoises from the nature reserve which come into the garden, or the guinea fowl with their distinctive call which walk along the road in front of Ocean’s Horizon. Cape sugarbirds are a feast for the eyes and ears with their long tails and extraordinary sounds. And penguin lovers are just a 15-minute drive from Simon’s Town with its local penguin colony.

Eldorado for sports enthusiasts

In addition to hikers and cyclists, surfers in particular are drawn to this amazing stretch of coastline. The local beach and neighbouring Witsand Beach are extremely popular with wave, wind, and kite surfers.

Horse riding is possible on neighbouring Noordhoek Beach, a wide beach with a truly stunning backdrop. The stables are located directly in Noordhoek. The popular Clovelly Golf Club is just a 25-minute drive away. This impressive 18-hole golf course is sure to delight golfers with its stunning location, nestled among the rolling landscape of the Cape Peninsula.

Kayaking, water biking, diving, and fishing trips can be booked in neighbouring Simon’s Town. Those brave enough can even try shark cage diving.

The double garage is spacious enough for you to store your own sports equipment such as bikes, surfboards, or golf equipment.
